Community Transformation

Small Groups are an opportunity for people to connect regularly on their way back to God. Spiritual, emotional and relationship growth takes place as each group journeys together through learning and discussing the application of God's story in their lives. A small group leader facilitates and encourages conversation and care of the entire group. Most small groups usually last around 1 1/2 hours and meet either weekly or twice a month.

Here are a few of the various types of small groups that are currently meeting at Crossings.

Couples - We have many groups where a person and their spouse or significant other may study and be in community together. Most of these groups meet every other week.

Girls - Currently there are 9 of these girls groups.  These groups meet weekly.

Guys - Currently there are 5 of these guys groups.  These groups meet weekly.

Book Club
- This group meets on Tuesdays at Rankin Restaurant on Central Avenue from 7:30-9:00 am. Each book read is decided on by the group.

67/20 Group - If the world was a village of 100 people, 67% of them would have yet to find their way back to God and 20% of them would be living in poverty.  We are always looking for more ways to reach out to the 67 and to serve the 20.  These small groups spend 2 weeks of the month learning together, 1 week reaching out to 67% relationally, and 1 week serving those in poverty.

In all of our Groups...

Learning happens through discussion of a book, book of the Bible or another form of study of the groups choosing.
Community Transformation happens by partnering with an initiative or other opportunities as they arise.
