| Circles of SupportCircles of Support is a faith-based mentoring program for the previously chronically homeless. The program is coordinated by The Compassion Coalition in conjunction with the Knox County/Knoxville ten year plan to end chronic homelessness. Circles of Support partners with local faith communities to form mentor teams of 4-6 people. These mentor teams commit to coming alongside a previously chronic homeless individual, (neighbor) for a period of one year. During that year the team meets weekly with their neighbor to develop a loving, caring and trusted relationship. Through these relationships the mentor team will help their neighbor achieve their goals of remaining in permanent housing and reintegrating into society, as well as, developing a sense of community and lasting friendships. ways to get involved... individuals or groups willing to mentor a neighbor help in various capacities with social and special events throughout the year support others in our community who are mentoring neighbors for more information...
