Amachi

Amachi is a faith based organization out of the Knoxville Leadership Foundation that matches mentors with the children of parents who are incarcerated.  There are over 800 children in Knox County who have one or both of their parents in prison.  Statistics show that these children, themselves, have a 70% chance of being incarcerated as adults.  Amachi exists to help break this cycle through the intentional mentoring of children who's parents are incarcerated.

ways to get involved...

Individuals willing to mentor the child of an incarcerated parent
Support others in our community who are mentoring children
Donate items (tickets to sporting events, concerts, etc.) to current mentors
